Description
Ooooh yeah, here we are. I waited until the very last day of 2017 to finish this. You never know what piece you'll make in the very last moment!
Many things happened this year. I'm still in the Reylo fandom, though I was more focused on my OCs and personal work. I also started doing what I've always dreamed of: designing book covers!! Indie writers now ask me to do theirs for a small price (compared to what big publishers spend), and I'm happy to offer a service for that niche. I'd started earning regular money, so I registered as an official worker (Yayyyy taxes yayyy) and thus became a new butthole in the screwing machine of the State. Nah, I love my country nevertheless.
Kept doing commissions... and then, in June, my father died suddenly in an accident. It was devastating, and we're still mourning, but... well, people were very kind to my family and helped us a lot, including you, Deviants. Thank you so much.
I kept on working hard. What else could I do? So I started my Youtube channel, where I talk about books, upload speedpainting videos and do random dances, in the hopes that it'll help me sell more books and also share the ones I love. And then we (bf and I) prepared my latest novel, La Visita del Selkie, for publication. While I battled with Createspace, edition and countless revisions of my book, I was quite stressed, so I tried to get happiness from drawing gifts for other people. Hence I hosted a couple of art giveaways (lots of WoW players among the winners! XD) and then, once I finished publishing the Selkie novel on Amazon, I was just... bummed. I'd been under such a prolonged low-key stress (mourning must have played a part in it), that I went a little dull and felt so clumsy drawing/writing.
But oh well, then The Last Jedi came, and I fangirled, and the fandom was still as funny and witty as always. Also, I'm reopening commissions, and that filled me with SO MUCH MOTIVATION!! I guess I just needed to be busy.
The second half of this year was sad and life-changing, but I look to the future with lots of hope and excitement over my incoming projects! Merry Christmas to you all, and Happy New Year. God bless you all
