Night meeting

I love the colors, I love the style.  I love how I know nothing about any of these people, and have absolutely zero context, and yet the artwork conveys so many possibities.  The two in the middle are having a good time (and I absolutely love the girl's expression), while the two on the outside seem a bit more withdrawn.  The guy is staring off, perhaps in his own thoughts, perhaps looking at something behind the viewer, maybe on the lookout for something dangerous.  The girl looks on with disapproval (and I bet she's Laerith), but withholds her thoughts.  The person in the red tunic is laughing, not expecting the time bomb seated nearby.

I love the atmosphere.  The clotheslines, gentle lights, and casual clothing all hint at a friendly, safe place.  It almost looks like a casual social gathering.  The air feels thick and heady, pleasing and welcoming.  The fact that the scene is amidst a forested grove only enhances the sensation.

I really can't say how much I love this picture.  Amazingly well done Liber.
